Big Foot Letters
These blog posts started out as letters to friends and family to tell them about what we were doing, dreaming, thinking about as the Big Foot Food Forest came alive and grew.   They cover a wide range of topics, mostly about what we are learning and thinking about as newbie farmers.  We hope that by sharing our stories, others can learn from what we did and are doing - including our many mistakes!

Second year: the suburban food forest grows, we add chickens and a pond.  We buy the Big Foot farm land in Montague, MA

First year: permaculture classes,  our design process, and suburban backyard becomes a food forest.
