Join us to learn how to: build walls out of straw bales and locally sourced earthen plaster; construct a natural grass sod roof; and (if time allows) create an earth floor. Our aim is to empower you to go and build your own natural house or building!

Full price of the 7-day workshop is $850. This includes all teaching, all materials, and meals from Saturday lunch to Sunday lunch. To hold your spot we request a $400 deposit. This is refundable minus 10% up to three weeks before the workshop; after that time, we will not be able to refund the deposit. Please send a check to Big Foot Food Forest, 16 Hatchery Road, Montague, MA, 01351 or you can use Venmo @big_foot_foodforest. A receipt will be emailed to you.

Please use your discretion, knowing that there will be a lot of interest for this option from people who need it. The same down-payment terms apply as for the full price, with a reduced down-payment of $200. For the work-exchange, we ask for 1.5 hours of help per day of the workshop setting up and cleaning up meals.
The camping stay at the farm is not included in the cost of the workshop - in part because we expect to attract a number of participants locally who will not need it. We have five camping spots available at the farm for $75 for the week. This is rustic camping in our field behind the house, with a shared warm shower, and porta-potty toilet. There is also a campground nearby on a lake, called Barton Cove, as well as a number of nice Bed and Breakfasts and Airbnb options.
